Today was a shopping day and I love to drive along the river on the old route 5. The last time that I went by this little waterfall over the ledge, it was frozen. It was running water today, even though it’s quite chilly. You can see a little ice here and there. The river is completely open with no ice and yet they were still ice fishing on a little setback. I saw about 5 or 6 fishermen on the ice there. I would not go on that ice for anything.
I saw the above little bunny napkins and I just could not resist them. I put white napkins behind them in my little napkin holder. Every time I look at them, it makes me smile.
Today was voting day for the primaries in Vermont. I voted this morning. I don’t like politics and don’t usually get into them, but I have been watching the debates which usually bores me. But for some reason not boring anymore. I also exercised my right to vote and voted for town stuff.
The above potato-bacon soup looks good to me. I pinned the recipe to my soup Pinterest board. It’s perfect for this time of year.
I like creme brulee as it is really good and so French. The last time I had some creme brulee was at the Woodstock Inn years ago. I have dishes like the one the above is served in. One of these days, I may attempt to make some. You have to have one of those little gadgets that has a flame that brulees sugar on the top of the custard.
The keyboard on my Moto-x cell phone is not easy to type on to send a text message. I just realized that you don’t have to type anything. You just touch the little microphone symbol and talk and the text message goes in.
It’s been a long day and also a busy day. So for now, I’m calling it a day. And that is my thoughts for the day.
